@LiberalLibrarian i think this has been my response in the past because i don't have the education to form a more productive solution. kinda hoping my kid can figure something out so i have learned to keep my nihilism to myself more and more.
@Shelter @LiberalLibrarian probably way more forms than i am aware of, i am no academic. it's been worth it to shut up, sit back, and learn from others.
When you realize that ultimately anything we do means absolutely nothing to the universe at large because we are a very tiny part of it and that everything good you do matters not only for yourself but also to the world around you even if it's just for a moment- it's incredibly freeing.
Because every short moment dominoes, regardless of how little we ultimately matter.
In other words- Be Here Now. And be kind.
Oh but we mean EVERYTHING.
Right here and Right now.
We are so fucking important it's dizzying.
Without the choices, for good or bad, my ancestors made I wouldn't be here and who I am.
I'm working on my children making differences in other people's lives.
We're very small, like Piglet, and very important, like Piglet.
@Shelter @LiberalLibrarian i do think this mentality works for some, unfortunately it does not work for me. i do not think we are important, it is merely an opinion that i hold. i am careful with it and allow it to change as needed, however it is a very deeply rooted mentality that i have.
