But it's hard to imagine any appeals court saying "yes, only having 6+ months to prepare for a case - which you already knew was coming for months before that - means you couldn't even hope for a fair trial, case dismissed!"

Frankly, even if he's sentenced to prison (and he definitely could be, given the sheer number of cases), I can easily see him stringing out the appeals for the remainder of his lifespan.
