@LiberalLibrarian I think he said 21 court days, so about a month. And that doesn't allow for the defense side. It'll be a pretty long trial.

But yes, Cannon will likely try to delay, and Smith will fight back. It also doesn't help that Cannon has no experience with the natsec issues involved, which will cause actual delays.

As Brad Moss succinctly put it, "It is what it is."

@LiberalLibrarian The most important thing is that Cannon won't have unilateral power to make unappealable decisions, any more than she proved to have last time.
