Both of the center workers looked at each other in silence, looked at me, and looked at each other one more time before pushing paperwork over to refer me to a local planned parenthood center, and spoke quite rudely about how ungodly it was that I was separated from my ex husband. 2/

It took everything I had in my self control to keep from reaching out and shaking that woman by the shoulders. I told her as calmly as my clenched teeth would allow, that I was married to someone that ended up beating the hell out of me and I did what I had to, in order to survive that ordeal. Her mouth shut so fast, i swear she broke a tooth and she pushed me right out the door, snapping at my then-fiance' "Get her to a doctor as soon as you can, she's going to need the help." 3/4

@SolSoldier of course told her that we will as soon as we were able and she slammed the door behind us. Guess they were upset they couldn't "save" this lost soul. 4/4

What I did learn from that experience is that almost every Pregnancy Crisis Center is funded and run by religious groups mostly tied to anti-abortion organizations and lobby organizations. If you MUST seek out help, go straight to your DHS/Dept of Health, or call your local information network to find out where you can get assistance. Do not, and I do mean, do not, go to a Pregnancy Crisis Center.
