I'm going to do my best to extend my salt-free diet to the way that I post here.

I can certainly be a whole lot less abrasive.

@kel Mrs Dash is a fun new friend! Herbs de Provence is fire on chicken baked in veggi broth with you favorite veggies. Also add sage and a squeeze of lemon juice (chefs kiss) no salt needed 😁

@Olivecatto Yep, all normal.

I habitually took OTC pain meds for years and years. Turns out that is super bad for the kidneys. Who knew?

@kel yeah they are a bitch on your body!! They have you on hydrochlorothiazide

@Olivecatto Not yet.

Probably won't be long before I can just have pills for breakfast though. 😆

@kel 😂🤣 I work for a pharmacy for two more days. You would be amazed at the amount of medication people take. It’s kind of nuts. But they helped me. I’m not working to the point to drop them. I’ve lost 140lbs since Aug 2020. Nothing crazy just some food changes. Of course the more I lost the more I could move without all the pain so the more weight came off.

@Olivecatto Yeah, hoping to avoid much more in the way of complications. It's been super real.

Congrats! Just starting that particular journey myself. 👊

@kel nice well I’m here for you! 😁 best hack I learned was not all carbs are bad. Use a carb to fiber ratio. If it’s all carbs and no fiber then not heart to eat. But if it had both you divide the carbs by the fiber and if it’s less than a 1:10 ratio you good to eat a healthy serving. 😁 lesser evil popcorn is weirdly amazing and I will blend frozen fruits with an almond milk unsweetened and freeze small containers and when it’s hot or I’m craving sugar it’s perfect. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@kel the world makes nutrition way way way too complicated or miserable. Whole Foods more spices less sauces and salt. Avoid processed sugar and sugar free is really really really bad for your gut and digestion and can wreak havoc with your metabolism. Natural sugars are the way y to go

@Olivecatto All good advice. I'm pretty much doing just that. 👍

@kel The complications are scary and hard. I would get super frustrated and discouraged when you would go to a Dr and they would say lose weight. I would turn into a smart ass and say don’t think it I knew how I would. Finally after I ended up in the er with my bp at 257/125 on the verge of a stroke did I find a Dr who said huh this isn’t normal and started working to find and fix what was wrong. I got on a glp-1 med that’ was a game changer for me called Mounjaro.
