"Swearing on the Bible" doesn't prevent anyone from lying- particularly the rich & political.
We need a knew oath:
Do you swear on your personal honor that you will tell the truth, the whole truth with, nothing but the truth- based on facts. If you break your oath you will PERSONALLY be fined & penalized.
