I'd go one further, too:
If a person *can't* share information without shaming others for not already having it, they should really question whether they're as educated as they think. IMO, it's the mark of a deeper kind of ignorance, if one can't share learning without being boorish about it. π

I will go ,perhaps, a bit further, and state:
If you have knowledge, in any field, but particularly modern life skills, you have a moral responsibility to share that knowledge, with those that don't.
And yes shame has no place in this.
