@MLClark About to find out if this circuit breaker is in it to win it. If not well, been real, divvy up my stuff amongst yourselves

@b4cks4w

If this should be our last correspondence, backsaw, I want you to know that it has been a genuine honour to follow your shared views and priorities around so much.

From where I'm sitting, you've made the cosmos a kinder, wiser place to live within, and the world will be impoverished for your absence.

Thank you for your presence.

Thank you for fighting the good fight for its continuation.

I sorely hope you've got all the resources you want right now.

Thanks for being here at all.

@MLClark Hey thanks! Back at ya! I have what I need or I cobble it together. This is the way.

@b4cks4w @MLClark Sweet dreams!✨ to you both. I’ll hope to be wishing you both a good morning tomorrow. πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ’œ

@ACG2

Rest well, ACG2! I look forward to seeing you on the flipside, well rested and luxuriating in the glow of a brand new day. πŸ€— πŸ’«

@MLClark that sounds glorious...I think I must sleep now.....🫠
@ACG2

@MLClark that you clarified " not a booty call"
Priceless πŸ˜…πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

@MLClark well we had a little tasteful nudity earlier lol, and hilarious album covers.....it's been a fun night. It went way too fast.

@MLClark: A bit of both. I am also nomming on a giant lollipop, one that I honestly didn't think would take foreverrrrrrrr to get through. It's way tasty, but seems to be made of titanium what with how long it's taking for it to erode.

That said, I'm listening to the double-album LP soundtrack to "The Lords of Salem" , as one does.

How goes on your end?

@thedisasterautist

You sure you didn't nab an Everlasting Gobstopper?

I'm writing myself. Lacking focus. Alternating between two projects I need finished before dawn. Will settle eventually, but as @MommaJ wisely noted, right now I have the zoomies.

I hope you feel accomplished, whether with the lolly or the lit, at the end of your night's labours!

@MLClark @MommaJ: I'd be shocked to get an EG for $1.00 as CVS, but you may well be onto something there.

I usually lack focus, which is part and parcel for me. I can only even mentally hyperfocus on any one thing for maybe 4 to 8 hours at a time, and then it's zoomies for a few hours to a day or three. So I have to parcel tasks out into chunks so that I can get more done in less time on multiple things. That way I don't get bored or lose too much focus, and zoomies are kept to a minimum.

@thedisasterautist

The rad part is that you know yourself, and you know what works for you. Tons of neurotypicals haven't figured out how to articulate what their brains require, and make their neuroses everyone else's problems instead. πŸ™ƒ

TDA, I routinely admire the phenomenal job you do at articulating what works for you, along with all your passions and pursuits.

Maybe not everyone listens as well as they should, but that sure as heck ain't on you.

Happy licking... that prose! πŸ˜‰

@MommaJ

@jenebene

Catching up on work! But happily so. I panicked because *of course* there'd be a wifi outage while my laptop's keyboard was damaged, so I can't just move to a mall to work there instead.

But if it takes a little longer to get everything caught up, so be it. The world won't end. There are bigger troubles on all our horizons.

Mandolin sounds wonderful! Do you focus on traditional melodies, or fusion forms?

@MLClark

Totally Irish trad: rΓ©els, jigs, polkas, slides, hornpipes, slip jigs, hop jigs … ☘️☘️☘️

It’s so much fun 😊

@elmaxx

Hah. I like the implied possibility of "working" but not being "up".

MAN, I wish. πŸ˜‚

@disk4mat @MLClark I believe we are like cats with the zoomies....
We all go 100 miles per hour....then when lay down and need belly rubs...lol

@Kinnison

Laughing at the stupidity is a very healthy reaction.

I should do it more often, too.

What game you got on?

@MLClark

been playing it way too long. Kind of like being a long time pro and unable to walk away from a game you are so good at.

@Kinnison

Hey, any game that still has recent expansions isn't something to feel sheepish about. πŸ‘Œ That's a solid gaming environment to dive back into, both for familiarity's sake and as a brief escape from all the mess in the world at large. Happy gaming!

@Kinnison

(And if I miss you tomorrow morning? Have a really lovely Wednesday, neighbour. πŸ€— )

@MLClark I’m giving a listen an old radio show, Mindwebs. You’d recognize a lot of the authors in speculative fiction. archive.org/details/Mindwebs_2

@MLClark I’ve been poking around archive.org and found that gem. I was familiar with the show, but only have heard a few episodes before.

There’s some great BBC radio shows (dramas, interviews, educational) some fairly recent ones. Check this out: archive.org/details/the-kubric

@MLClark let me know what you think if you check out the contents.

@MLClark I'm watching New Tricks. Debating if I should go straighten up my craft room.

@DCliffo

πŸ™ƒ Is its current structure driving you up the wall?

@MLClark Not really. I actually like cleaning in there. I always find beads I forgot I had. Then I can plan new projects. I'm just feeling lazy tonight

@DCliffo

Well then I wish you a very creatively productive cleaning session, whenever it comes about. I hope whatever bits and bobs you rediscover inspire a wonderful project for the month ahead. :)
