@VelvetDuchess We looked into this after Trump won.
Learn French. 😆
@kel I was thinking Vancouver Island.
@VelvetDuchess @kel Vancouver Island is beautiful. Have you looked at some of the Gulf Islands? Salt Spring is very cool. Further north, Quadra Island is like a time warp to the 60's. BC is an awesome place to live. Mildest weather in Canada and drop dead gorgeous. If you do decide to come here, feel free to DM me. I'll help any way I can. I know realtors etc on Vcr Island, Salt Spring and Quadra as we were going to move there from Lower Mainland. 💜🇨🇦
@smittycanada1 @kel Really thank you for this I was beginning to think Canada wouldn’t accept me.
@VelvetDuchess @kel Could you live here close to the border. Then, if keeping US pension, insurance etc is an issue, you could drive back into to US every 6 mths to keep them in effect? I know Cdns will do that if they predominantly live in US and want to keep their medical coverage in effect.
@smittycanada1 @VelvetDuchess @kel I have friends who do that in Mexico boarder towns to US.
@smittycanada1 @VelvetDuchess @kel if you have a skill to contribute yes, like a teacher, CPA, ect.. but they move in between with a 6month visa on the Mexico side for 30.00 and car insurance for the sake of ,,,, well anything that has to do with your car. And rent for Pennie’s on the dollar to stay out there. Like 150.00 for a full gated home 2 miles away from the beach.
