@LiberalLibrarian Yeah, confirmation definitely required - although I should note if my understanding of gunfire and medicine cover this area as well as I'd like (and I'm fairly confident they're close enough) I'd expect, given his age, his eardrum is probably toast... and I think it's quite likely severe, permanent damage was done to the inner ear.
The sonic boom from a supersonic bullet ~3cm away can be quite destructive.
So I'd anticipate him to be deaf in that ear, at least temporarily.
@LiberalLibrarian Yeah, a bullet that travels more than a hundred feet and *just misses* your skull but takes out part of your ear, and only that, is pretty unlikely. A chunk of debris, though, that's plausible.
I absolutely will not believe he went up there with a squib concealed behind his ear. That's a lovely conspiracy theory but it's bollocks. Too many moving parts, and not his MO. He's a showman, not a stuntman.
My speculation is bunk. The teleprompters did not shatter.
The wound is not inconsistent with being hit by the glass from the teleprompter. But as. you say we're speculating without confirmation. #politics

It's so hard to believe any claim coming from or about #Trump.
Maybe he really was lucky enough to have been juuuuuust grazed by a 556 round instead of it taking his ear clean off.

We all know he's a lying sumbich and he's playing this up for his vapid base. Whatever caused the wound certainly doesn't require wearing a maxi pad on the side of his head for a week.
