Roger Waters has ruined Pink Floyd for me. Will never listen to them again.

i mean, they might meet the bar for competence (but that's a very low bar).

I agree with you to a large degree. The Wall was the last Pink Floyd album that I could listen to, & I didn't like most of it. The plot of the opera was a carbon copy of the plot from Tommy (main character loses his war hero dad, grows up all screwed up, gains a bunch of fans, the attention turns him into a dictator. The crowd gets tired of the fascism & rejects him. The Wall or Tommy?)
I prefer early Floyd, from album 1 to DSOTM, but my favorite is Meddle.

I don't hold it against the band. His former band mates hate him, too.
@LiberalLibrarian I understand why. I see the music having diverged away from the artists once it is out among the public. Also, what was in his brain 40 or 50 years ago is (one would hope) very different from his current ranting. Also, Dark Side of the Moon is perfect.
