Quick reminder that $25/hr is what I earned in 2000 answering office phones with nothing but a high school degree. It is not a current living wage in most cities. The idea that $15/hr is enough is laughable.
Inflation has happened. Adjust your demands accordingly.
Every job deserves a living wage.
Locally, $15 is not mandatory, but pretty much the norm for minimum. And as soon as it went up, costs exploded.
The investors and members of the board are going to maximize their profits, and no matter what the minimum wage becomes, they will drive up inflation to the extent that min. wage workers never get ahead.
All instead of accepting that they have sufficient profits and can take a little less to make the world a better place.

@BlueStateBabe In places with monopolies that's a problem. But prices also rose in cities without a $15 minimum wage and we still have laws on the books allowing wait staff and disabled people to be paid well under minimum wage.
The answer isn't keeping people in poverty. It's knocking some sense into the heads of the people being greedy. Whether you do that with logic, prayer, or revolution is up to you. But it's what needs to be done.
Side Note: Revolution does not require violence. I'm not advocating murder here. I'm saying there are other ways than just giving up.
