We should be shocked, outraged, and infuriated.
Being rural or of the beaten path doesn't give anyone the right to be a racist, muddled fool. We shouldn't shrug and accept it.
Treating other people as humans is baseline behavior. Nothing less is tolerable or should be expected at all.
@ianthealy I'm sorry you have to deal with people who think skin color matters in anything other than finding a good color for your tone.
