Easy way for me to lose a couple hours in the garage. Cleaned up the work bench some more and then made a little cup. It's from scrap wood left over from the timber frames in our house. Not the greatest for turning. Some problems with tear out in a couple spots, but still easy relaxing time for me.
@Kurtroedeger I've turned metal but never wood. Always fancied having a go.
@stueytheround I'm having fun with it. ☺️. Been mostly making pens, but prepping to make larger things.
@stueytheround working a glue up for what will get an epoxy pour to make a shallow bowl, and these bamboo chopsticks will get epoxy in the cracks to be a pen then.
@Kurtroedeger Oooh! Love the chopsticks. The pattern will be amazing.
@stueytheround 🤞🤞 I'm hoping. Now to pick a color of resin to use 🤔
@stueytheround @Kurtroedeger it's a tiny Jenga pen!
@Fellixe @stueytheround it did keep falling over while I was flying it up 😂
@stueytheround what have you made in metal?
@Kurtroedeger A hammer! Hang on...
@Kurtroedeger There's also a spring loaded centre-punch and a depth gauge knocking about somewhere.
This hammer was made in my school workshop by 12 year-old me! Damn! It's almost 40 years old 😁
@stueytheround did you do the gnurling on the handle? 😍
@Kurtroedeger I did!
@stueytheround skills!
@Kurtroedeger Very pretty!
@Kurtroedeger I really like the grain!
