I have to share a really nice thing that happened to me. Last week was the spring concert for my student choir I direct. I was walking my choir to the stage, and a custodian who I had never seen in the building before came along side me and said, "Hey, Mr. [redacted], remember me?"
Turns out, he was a student in my high school #musictheory class about 12 or so years back. He's now a district custodian. We chatted for a bit, then I had to go conduct my concert.
The next morning...

...I had an email from him. He talked about how great it was to see me, and how much fun he had in theory class. He particularly remembered how one of his friends challenged me to identify and play all of the songs from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which of course I knew, being the nerd I am.
He then said I might not see him in the building again because he's only a sub custodian in the district right now, but if his 3D printer cooperated, I might find a gift on my desk the next day.

Today, I come in, and this is sitting on my desk. Yes, it plays! I wrote him an email thanking him, but really I can't express how touched I am that he thought to take the time to make this for me.
This one is going in the "happy file" for sure.
