"NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism Rebecca Weiner said a shift in tactics used by campus protesters signaled that non-student groups were involved in the occupation of the Columbia building.
“Students don’t come in the door knowing how to barricade themselves,” she said. “These are all skills that are taught and learned.”
THese students spent their entire school life doing lockdown drills taught by police

I mean, there very well might be outside groups--but there's also the freaking internet.
@Kinnison
Student's don't know how to barricade themselves?
Um. They can't learn? This is an old tactic and if there's any kind of non-violence training happening then they surely would include this.
Very weird for a UNIVERSITY to be complaining that students are taught and learn things. But this knowledge didn't have to come from "non-student" groups.
