No wonder NYPD "intelligence" is messed up:

The NYPD crackdown on U students was led by a member of the school’s faculty

Rebecca Weiner is a Columbia prof who leads an NYPD intel division that maintains an office in Tel Aviv

Weiner said student "rhetoric" necessitated the violent raid

thegrayzone.com/2024/05/02/col

"NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism Rebecca Weiner said a shift in tactics used by campus protesters signaled that non-student groups were involved in the occupation of the Columbia building.

“Students don’t come in the door knowing how to barricade themselves,” she said. “These are all skills that are taught and learned.”

THese students spent their entire school life doing lockdown drills taught by police

@Kinnison

Student's don't know how to barricade themselves?

Um. They can't learn? This is an old tactic and if there's any kind of non-violence training happening then they surely would include this.

Very weird for a UNIVERSITY to be complaining that students are taught and learn things. But this knowledge didn't have to come from "non-student" groups.

I mean, there very well might be outside groups--but there's also the freaking internet.
