In a meandering speech, Trump spoke about the assassination attempt, leaning on the idea embraced by many Christian conservatives that God intervened to save his life.
“My faith took on new meaning on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, where I was knocked to the ground, essentially by what seemed like a supernatural hand,” said Trump. “And I would like to think that God saved me for a purpose, and that’s to make our country greater than ever before.”
He urged Christians to vote.

@DCliffo @tgraph52 Trump uses religion because that is how he manipulates people, he doesn’t believe in God , he believes in himself only but the religious idiots ( I’m an evangelical, by the way , but I did study the Bible from beginning to end two times ) and evangelicals want to force Christianity on everyone in this country because they say this is a Christian country so they are ok with everything the orange idiot says , they know he lies and they are ok with it .
