@corlin @JazzCrafter There's a convenience store near here where you can't know the price of anything unless you use their app to scan their QR codes for whatever items you're interested in. I don't buy stuff there any more, but everywhere seems to be sliding in that direction.

Last week I took a suit to the dry cleaners, and they had replaced the front counter with a rack and a QR code.
Since I do not own a smart phone, I yelled a bit until I got some one’s attention. They said the only way to leave or pick up cleaning was to use the app.
I left and went somewhere else.
