@PaganMother Eh, rail is already under the monopoly of Amtrak. Trying to fix a monopoly with another monopoly is bad. Better to break up the monopoly into separate factions.
@JCAlexandreWrites I mean I understand the whole aspect of free market, competition between companys and such, but logically speaking, doesn't our transportation taxes pay for better roads, rails, and other services already? *headtilts.* It's genuine curiosity of the idea that I ask, definitely not out of ignorance, mind you. *smiles.*
@JCAlexandreWrites I mean, if the US gov takes it over, is that really a monopoly? No ones gaining profit from it by the buy out except the companys being bought out and their workers, and it would open up a potential for employment that's goverment secured, at least I would think. With how the companys mistreat their workers and deny them basic leave for medical/maternal ect, wouldn't it be better managed that way?
