there was a night when 4 of us really worked through to the meaning of the universe... it had something to do with light and the direction north... it's a bit vague 54 years later. But it was a revelation that night.

Just heard the song Seasons in the Sun. I loved it when I was a kid. And the lyrics are the least vomituous lines Rod McCuen ever wrote. They creak a bit, but the tune carries them along. (I’m a regular Robert Christgau.)
