I visited mom today. She didn't recognize me when I first got there. She's gotten to the point now where she has to be reminded who someone is, & after some prompting she remembered me. At some point I know she won't remember me at all.
That's so heartbreaking. I'm sorry for you both. I remember when my mom no longer recognized me. I was her youngest. I knew it would probably happen that way. I saw her most often, but near the end her face lit up when she saw her eldest, despite not having seen her in years. A little of her old self broke through the fog. πβ€οΈ
