Hold on a minute. Copies of every single frame of video surveillance at the US capital, on, and the days before January 6, has been in the custody of the DOJ for quite some time. No need to blur any faces. The DOJ already has them.

This whole affair is bullshit.

My only guess is they're afraid of having identifications crowdsourced. DOJ has them, but have plenty of people they haven't identified that they still want yet. (D&R'd post for clarity)
