I bought a bottle of Redbreast for tomorrow evening. I manage one of 38 poll locations in the county. We'll close at 7 tonight and tomorrow. I'll be home about 830 after transporting our ballots to county elections department. I will put on jammies and slippers and crack it open to watch the results come in. I imagine I will fall asleep in the chair, hopefully with a smile.

Had more cornbread than pan, so did a small skillet, put it on top of the other pan because of small toaster oven, it needed a bit of a toasting on the bottom on the stove, and 'spoiled' the top of the wedges, but it all tastes delicous. No Buttermilk, so vanilla yogurt and milk for the mix. Martha White comes through again!

Guess I better get to thinking about cornbread.

Today, Jane Fonda came to boost one of our local candidates for County Commissioner - which has been six Republicans for the last 60 years. Fonda's PAC picks progressive / environmental candidates down ballot to back.

The last two contestants for CC3 each increased our vote percentage but never enough to win. Perhaps this is the year. #politics

I crawled out of bed, made a press of coffee, went out to the truck and brought in the groceries that I gotten for breakfast yesterday, had a slice of apple pie and coffee, stumbled back to bed with a 2nd cup...and woke up an hour ago. The worst has passed. 🫠

Morning 🌞 all. Lordy I had flu shot and covid shot and a couple of other shots yesterday midday. It's been a rough night, body aches mostly. 😵‍💫 somebody bring me a cup of coffee? ☕

Well good morning and thanks for having coffee with me. Off for a quick shower and then headed out for poll worker training this morning. I've been doing this for several years and while it's sometimes slow in the early days it's good to see everyone come into the polls. I anticipate this election will be *interesting*.
