Then I tried to lookup the member who posted it and found their profile to be stripped of activity. So the warning seemed valid.

Look its developer speak, a culture I used to be a part of, it has different connotations with software programmers, coders, and startup entrereneurs - in that arena "hacking" is a good thing - it means identifying mistakes, security holes, and problems in the coding infrastructure, as well as innovating within a defined system.
I read the entire thing - it was posted on a trusted platform and well written
