In times of great geopolitical upheaval, violence and tragedy, it is still important to post pictures of your cats and also look at pictures of my cats.
@Expecting_Words Preach!
They are beautiful! Thank you & likewise!
These 2 adopted us. Showed up on our porch. Tuxedo male very sweet. Calico was feral, had litter of 4 under our porch (think she was about 6 weeks old). Not his, we got him neutered, but he loved them anyway. Look at size comparison of the two with her babies!
(Note: neighbor complained & called cat shelter - they came & took them - said they'd adopt out readily).
The upside of the shelter taking the 4 kittens for adoption was they have an arrangement with local vet to pay for check up and spaying of mama. It wasn't easy for me to catch her & get her into a carrier, but I did it! Now she doesn't have to be a breeder! My partner worked gently with her over the past 2 years and now she's even comfortable staying in the house overnight! And she still loves our Tuxedo - they have a kissy fest every time that get together.
@Gladari thank you for helping your local felines and being such a good cat parent. Srs you're doing the lord's work catching and spaying a feral calico. Respect.
I've got nothing against ppl who get their cats from breeders but there's so much need - so many strays. All my cats are rescues. The orange tabby actually jumped off the street and directly into my wife's arms.
Wow - that orange tabby know who would love it!
I've had kitties since I was a baby on the farm. My dad taught me how, when milking the one cow we had, to squirt milk directly into the cat's mouth. I had a cat call that got our farm cats to come running - then they'd stand on their hind feet & he'd squirt each one directly into their mouths!
I've had kitties own me ever since! Oh, and my cat call still works - our 2 indoor/outdoor come running!
lovely kitties❤️
@Expecting_Words
Yes. Yes it is!
@Expecting_Words
We're long overdue for a major #FloofTheFirehose event. This would be a most excellent start!
