Vet opens at 8am. Going to call and see if they can get my boy in, and have this taken care of. Fingers crossed it's not going to cost me an arm and a leg. lol We all know it will, but I can hope, right? *sigh*
Does anyone have pet insurance? Is it worth it or a crock of crap?
We had pet insurance and never used it. We got rid of it and probably shouldnt have! The costs for vets was much lower in Maine than Ma though. By. A. Lot!
@Evereigh had insurance for a cat for years. It saved me a lot over time.
@NorCalCherylLyn @Evereigh it depends entirely on the policy. some cover a lot & some are total scams that leave you hanging if anything bad actually happens. many policies drop YOU when the pet becomes elderly & expensive
@NorCalCherylLyn @Evereigh also, i've read that Nationwide is cancelling all pet insurance because it costs them too much...
I had Abby on the monthly Banfield plan (PetSmart). It ran me $40/mo and included an annual checkup and teeth cleaning procedures. 20% discount on drugs & other procedures.
Premiums depend on level of health. She was very healthy until the end.
@Evereigh We ended up getting Pumpkin for Benny but haven't done anything with it yet.
