Weāre watching Le Tour de France here, and want to respect Tadej PogaÄarās excellence.
But the pall of the cheat Lance Armstrong creeps in and unreasonably inserts some doubt
Thatās Lanceās greatest crime: he knew he was cheating but blatantly lied while he accepted the accolades. And then he unashamedly kept lying.
I fell for it for a while and feel awful.
Letās not fall for liars.
Thatās the thing, eh?
He WAS a hero, and a lot of what he did was awesome and work of respect.
But thatās the betrayal: he cheated, knew he was cheating, basically taunted his cheating, forced others to be involved in the cheating, and yet, to this day, tries to present some weird justification.
He cheated you and me, and has defamed every subsequent cyclist by his denial of his cheating.
I feel like a sucker but none of us should. Heās the cheat.
Thatās the thing about liars like him. They leave scars.
@DyDave Oh I know all too well.
