Hard-left people will speak about the arrested college campus protestors with nearly identical language to that which hard-right people have applied to J6ers.
Both groups of agitators, whether they be pawns or organizers in each event, are more similar than they are different. The same goes for those who support them. See: Horseshoe Theory.

Eh. Depends on the college and the arrests. The minute people are injured, it's no longer a protest, it's a riot and arrests are warranted. But the two aren't a Venn circle.
Counterpoint. Lots of people were arrested during the NC Moral Monday protests which were entirely peaceful. Arrestees volunteered, were trained, and there was a pot luck after processing. 🤷🏻♀️
