For those of you with time, and definitely for those of you whose employers give you Election Day off, consider applying to be an election official (poll worker).

You'll learn a lot about how elections are run and paid for, meet some really engaged people, and make barely more than jury duty pay to keep the wheels of democracy turning.

A lot of poll workers are retirees and a lot stepped away during covid. Hit your local BOE and ask about the process. 😎
