My friend has an adult daughter, who is 36 and pregnant with her first child. I was chatting with this young mother-to-be and she tells me that the doctor labeled her happy event a "geriatric pregnancy". My reaction was "Whaaat!? Thirty-six is the new twenty-six!" Geriatric my ass. They are really out here making war on women's minds.

Any woman over 35 is considered a geriatric pregnancy. Due to increased chromosomal abnormalities.

I remember a study, long time ago, linking older men fathering children with higher rates of schizophrenia. Mother's age didn't seem to be factor. Think was Swedish? study.
Anyhow led me down personal rabbit hole wondering if that's why things were slowly falling apart. Young women were encouraged to marry older established men for centuries.
