How nerdy is it that whenever they show a computer screen on TV or in movies, I wonder what operating system they're using? Like yeah there's a good chunk that's obviously just windows or macOS, but then there's the instances that just makes me go "what the heck is this? Why is that circle there? Why does everything make a noise?" Bechase it happens more than you think.
I'm not a prescriptivist, linguistically. Yes, it's good to standardize a language but we should also keep in mind that languages change and evolve over time. What was once Latin is now the Romance languages of Spanish, French, Italian, etc.. To think that a language /must/ be spoken in one way is simply untrue, as language is a method of human expression like any other. We don't place restrictions on art, so who's to say that someone's wrong because they say "rizz" instead of charisma?
