How nerdy is it that whenever they show a computer screen on TV or in movies, I wonder what operating system they're using? Like yeah there's a good chunk that's obviously just windows or macOS, but then there's the instances that just makes me go "what the heck is this? Why is that circle there? Why does everything make a noise?" Bechase it happens more than you think.
@MakerWerks It's a bit funny in a weird "What were they thinking" kinda way. I can't speak for your case but I do get the idea of real programming not being very interesting or visually stimulating for an audience. But on the other hand, they've got to know that our computers don't look like a clip of "The Matrix" playing on loop with someone typing furiously on the keyboard with beeps and boops every second. I can't even type that fast without messing up...
@ChumCugger Yeah, let's face it, the reality of watching regular people using real computers and apps probably makes for really crappy TV.
@ChumCugger I actually see quite a bit of real or simulated *nix on screens on TV shows. Since I'm an Air Force vet, I also usually cringe when shows or movies use jet fighter stock footage. They frequently mix-n-match several aircraft in the same scene. You see things like an F-4 taking off, an F-14 in the air and an FB-111 landing.
