Who me? Oh nothing, just sitting here packing up my life to move across country again wondering when the heck I acquired all this stuff while trying to separate the "actually needs" from the "hard to let go of for emotional reasons" things.
What are you doing today?
@singlemaltgirl Honestly one of the hardest parts is figuring out what cooking stuff to pack and what to keep out for every day use. Like what's the bare minimum of plates we need and will I need the slow cooker in the next 6 months or can I get away with baking dishes and pots?
Indian dinner sounds yummy 😋
@CarrieLikesCoffee oh, i've packed the kitchen (& decluttered it) since i'm doing bare bones cooking these days & keeping to my fave 3 pots. my entertaining bowls & dishes & all my baking stuff is all packed. all the small appliances are packed, too & i'm just managing & will have to manage for another month after, including my crock pot!
but yes, i still think i have too many dishes that i could be packing but...i'm using!
sigh.
@CarrieLikesCoffee Hope it turns out more cathartic than merely depressing for you.
@Ironworker229 It's all good. I just have a lot of emotional baggage tied up in things that have no meaning beyond whatever intention I had when buying them.
Thankfully, I've got an 18 year old with a clear head who gently calls me out on my bullshit. It's a process, but is more cathartic and will be worth it in the end.
@CarrieLikesCoffee I can relate. Good that you have help.
@CarrieLikesCoffee i'm doing something similar. & i gotta cook an indian dinner for my son & his gf tonight.
