Yeah. It turns out transporting crap to be recycled costs more than tossing it into a landfill and buying new.
BUT.... the US pays hundreds of billions of dollars in subsidies to fossil fuel companies. Divert a chunk of that to recycling and bring it to scale and we might have something.
The true cost of the product includes the cost of disposal, but most companies shift that onto the government.
