I'm trying my best to promote CoSo on FB with dismal results in spite of having close to 5K friends... Seems like they WANT the kray-kray...
I think you pegged it- they like the crazy, the churn, the outrage.
Getting people to give up their outrage fix is a hard as getting them off other drugs.

@XSGeek I have to be on FB because I'm in bands. Marketing...but I'm also here on CoSo as a social networker. I'm not trying to get anyone to LEAVE FB but to expand :)

I think there's some awareness FB is cray-cray, but many people don't want to leave it, because it is the only way they keep up with distant friends and relatives. So they tolerate the cray-cray, because of, well, love.
It sounds corny, but that's what it boils down to. The trick is to get them and at least some of their loved ones together at the same time on CoSo.
