I thought it didnโ€™t survive, I thought I over watered but kept it, just to be sure. Wasnโ€™t ready to throw in the towel yet!

And then, when itโ€™s neighbor started to grow, I realized the flower comes off of the other side, so I turned it around and oh my goodness!
*cue Frankenstein*

Itโ€™s alive! ALIIIEEVE! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘

Aforementioned neighbor, radiant!

Slow to grow, L O L I bought them around Thanksgiving, thinking they would be Christmas gifts, but that did not work.

@Armchaircouch , don't blink. She's off and runnin' now. ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŒบ My general rule of thumb is if an amaryllis bulb is firm, She's all right, just waiting.

I left mine outside too long last fall and they went squishy. โ˜น๏ธ

@Armchaircouch , was my own stupid fault. I'll try again. ๐ŸŒฑ

@Armchaircouch yes. 3 or 4 are common. you may need to stake it.

๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ ty (good to know about the water, itโ€™s possible I was not watering consistently enough).
And I have forgotten which bulb is which color, so now it will be a surprise. Iโ€™m so glad you recommended these! @LnzyHou

@Armchaircouch

My sister sent this green one tinged with red. You have to keep them from drying out especially once they bloom. I can see the dirt in yours is too dry.

Have slow grower too. Canโ€™t remember the color.

Thatโ€™s so pretty.
OK, thank you! Itโ€™s hard to tell because the water sinks and it gets dense at the bottom. I will definitely keep them not thirsty when they start to flour, thank you! @LnzyHou

@Armchaircouch I was late getting mine... Funny, I bought a 'surprise' bulb for cheap from a nursery that I order other bulbs from, and the bag was marked as being one of their red varieties. So the white blooms were a true surprise.
