@0x56 In the mid 90's, we hosted an FTP server for ZDnet. Some major software thing was released for download.
Started getting reports of download failures. Everything fine in New England. I still had an ssh-able shell account in Dallas, and it failed from there. I was able to reduce it to a 45-byte file.
Turned out to be a T3 card failure at MAE-East that wouldn't pass a certain bit sequence. Neteng didn't believe me.
