Before I moved, we got the neighborhood together 3/4 blocks, to make sure they were registered. Then arranged for rides on election day. At 830pm we would go to someone's place and have drinks and grill food while watching the results roll in.
I was so much more outgoing then. This was R's and D's. We've all moved since then but that was a great time that I wouldn't mind recreating in OH.
@VolleyB
If we want a voting Holiday, I say we should just assume it, act as though we already have a voting Holiday. Maybe that would be a great time for a General Strike
Thanks! I really want to get something going. I just dont see enuf organizing going on.
@UnTied @VolleyB Well I suppose this is as good a place to start as any. I'm going to press for a local holiday on Election Day, City, County, State - eventually National. Let's start a movement: Holiday or strike - we take the day! #VotersDay #2018
@FireMonkey
Check this out if you haven't already. I have been promoting REGISTRATION and VOTING parties. Get your unregistered friends together and have them bring THEIR unregistered friends. All go together to get registered. Provide transportation. All stick together. Festivities begin afterward. Do the same for voting...
I would love to see this go viral, like the ice bucket challenge.
@tyghebright @FireMonkey @VolleyB @UnTied - one point about this link - it's valid BUT, it's also an unnecessary data aggregator - scroll down to your state and click in there to see directly without giving them your info.
@0x56 @UnTied @VolleyB @tyghebright Yes I did actually hear that comment earlier today I think on Thom Hartmann about that site. I recommend going to your secretary of state's website directly and checking there.
