Writing up a substack post for a Halloween reading. I've been doing this for a long time and still worry sometimes that I over-explain. It's my autistic nature to want others to understand it as I do.

Another plant friend! My lady palm is a little under two feet tall. I've only had her a few months. Sitting to the right is my friend Hayden from the Hookland Doll Emporium.

Oh no...we just found out my husband's pet salamander died today. He's heartbroken. She was his little friend who ate from his hand.

The cat will be heartbroken, too. They would sit at the corner of the tank and chat with each other. Salamander looked for the cat when she couldn't climb over there for a few days after surgery.

This is Mother Spider! 💚 She'll perk up with temperatures cooling down. We've been together for 5 years and she has sent many of her baby spider plants to other homes.

I'll bring more plant pics later!

Here's a few more plant friends. There are two jade plants. One is grown in the shape of a small tree. Lemon fern in the back, and polka dot plant in the owl planter in front. Polka dot's name is Warner.

Hey, CoSo...loving the pet pics! 💜 Y'all want to meet some plant friends? I have a lot of them, so we'll go in small doses.

This is Keanu Leaves, a golden pothos. This is just a few leaves here. Those vines are loooonnnng!

Also made one of those skeleton faries. Not a dead fairy. I like to imagine them traveling with the Beloved Dead. I drew and painted the wings. The little plastic skeleton glows in the dark. Surprised our cat at first!

This is another of my projects for reclaiming Halloween through crafts.

Our house is an old school, so if the walls look like school walls...well, that's why.

Reminder to folks like me coming over from the bird app: There are good reasons different platforms develop their own cultures. Our new friends have welcomed us. Let's get to know them and this place without immediately demanding it all be something different.

Ugh. The rest of the night has just been unraveling for me. Can't seem to make anything work. It's getting late, end of the week...I probably need some rest. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Ate dinner, but unfortunately McD's was sold out of the pumpkin buckets. So it really was like revisiting childhood! 😄

I've been working today on getting some things set up for my current art project. It's the end of the month and I've been waiting for an opportunity to get one of those childhood pumpkin buckets McD's brought back. Time to take a break and go get one!

A personal account is a mix of things for me. So this account is not devoted strictly to divination, pagan polytheism, and occult practices. I'll talk about those things a lot though, and would love to find people who also talk about those things a lot to follow.

Yeah, those are broad topics. I like reading about practices and views other than just my own.

First recommendation for new folk... Read. That's it just read the room. Yes RTFM and all. But more importantly read people that have been here a while. Some of us are creatives, that promote work, but do it through conversation not just self aggrandizement. Sit down and have a discussion about a subject. Don't just "banner ad" your work, but tell me why you love doing it. Yes this takes time and energy. There is NO SEO to game here.

We Be The Humans.

If, like me, you've recently come over from Twitter and have creative work or services other places to share, I get the feeling it's good to just simply SHARE here. We don't have to fight an algorithm and promote our work 20+ times a day. That takes a whole layer of stress off of it!
