@Pat_Walrond I can probably get one this summer and try that. Puerto Rican family members are like, "But you love coquito!" I told them it's always been a different sweetness and texture than egg nog, but I've never really tasted the coconut in it.
@Pat_Walrond I've had it in certain types of trail mix. I thought it was there for texture and possibly some vitamin. It doesn't have a distinct taste for me.
@insomniacviolin She loosened the bow and everything was strapped into the case while it was stored. But yeah...the strings. I greatly appreciate her sending it to me, and I think the instrument will be happier with me.
@Charles_Hawtrey There is, unfortunately, good reason that I grew up hearing Democrats snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
If you're a musician, please monitor your heart rate as you read this. I got new strings for the violin and will be changing them.
I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get my neice's violin tuned properly. Each string was one note lower than it should be, and I just couldn't get any better without serious risk of a snap. Then I found out why.
Those are the strings I helped her put on 8 years ago.
Richard Wagner’s only comic #opera Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg is currently streaming LIVE. I forgot to mention it before and I forgot it was today. It will be available for a while FREE on YouTube so if you're interested you have plenty of time (November) to check it out.

The story of Pocahontas is a tragic tale of a young Native girl who was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and allegedly murdered by those who were supposed to keep her safe.
Her name at birth was Matoaka, which means “flower between two streams,” and according to Mattaponi history was likely given to her because she was born between the two rivers of Mattaponi and Pamunkey ...

Her name was #Matoaka.
(Note the pronunciation is Ma to ah kuh there’s an additional syllable than is pronounced in the video)
A collective of indigenous creatives came together, rewrote and replaced the audio for Disney’s “Pocahontas”. Perfectly synced with the animation to play in place of the original audio. It depicts the true story of Matoaka using ingenious voice actors.

Very high probability of seeing the northern lights tonight as far south as Pennsylvania, N Missouri, & Oregon, weather permitting. There's even a small possibility of viewing even further south, depending on local light conditions.
A G4/Kp8 watch hasn't been issued in almost 20yrs (aaaand of course it's going to be cloudy in New England 🙃). Best viewed from a very dark area with little to no light pollution. The further south, the darker it must be.
@stueytheround They'll quickly fly away when anyone else in the house steps outside, but they know who brings birdseed and music.
