The necklace means a lot more than just what it means on "Picard". I recognized the symbol immediately and my autistic brain started info dumping all the ways it could apply to the story. And his autistic brain knew this was a particularly personal level of special interest, so he quietly bought me the necklace.
@weirdfizz society is wrong, nerd proud, your necklace is beautiful. I’ve been avoiding Picard because I bawled on episode one. Need to retry it but whew that first one threw me!
@Coffee_and_Salt We're probably past halfway through season 1. Bring a box of tissues. It's not a big intro that pulls you in and then settles. Pretty sure the whole season is just the upward climb at the beginning of the rollercoaster.
@weirdfizz thanks for that heads up… it’s Patrick Stewart man. He messes with me. When did we say he could age? That was never part of the deal.
@Coffee_and_Salt Yeah, TNG came out when I was in 5th grade. They don't know it, but those actors all helped raise me through their characters. I see how old they're all getting and I'm like, "Nope. Nobody's aging. And even if they are, I still want to look like Doctor Crusher. Nobody. Is. Old. I'mma go read a book with LeVar Burton!"
@Coffee_and_Salt RED ALERT! We just finished season 1 of "Picard"! If you give it another try, you need four boxes of tissues, a pillow to hug, and some Earl Grey!
@Coffee_and_Salt You will, in fact, need Earl Grey, hot. You may need to change the laws of physics. And I highly advise that you start loading the photon torpedoes.
@weirdfizz oooh no. This is gonna take some serious emotional prep. Like watching all of TNG first. I’m not avoiding it what are you talking about?
@weirdfizz okay I just stocked up on tissues recently so I’m in luck, but if you tell me I’m gonna need earl grey, hot, I may just start tearing up now.
