Trivia: When returned WWI soldiers were protesting for benefits in Washington encampments “Hoovertowns” soldiers sent in to bust it up, break heads and set fires were led by Douglas MacArthur; his direct reports included Eisenhower and Patton.

I reread it in 2016 for the first time since college. Everyone should read it again or definitely once if they never have.
I went through a Sinclair Lewis phase. Something else everyone should try.
