Sigh. #twitter used to be a place I could follow even my local high school football team play by play. Get police bulletins explaining the helicopter hovering. See where in Tehran the next protest against the mullahs was planned. Now all gone, or drowned in bots, scammers, and Nazis.
Great as CoSo is for respectful conversation it doesn't replace so many of Twitter's former uses.

Likely there are others who could give windows into other specialized areas of information, if only there were some way to discover relevant hashtags.
It's truly depressing. For it's flaws, Twitter had a great balance and now just has more chaff than wheat.

Totally agree but it sucks when shit like that happens. We all can judge for ourselves why Musk did it.
That said, glad that I had a place to jump to...and glad that it's here.
