I love this creative way to display vintage Christmas light bulbs. I'll have to dig out mine to see if I have enough to replicate this for next year.

Boy, this brings back memories. Dad coming home with a fresh cut tree in the back of the pickup. Stringing the lights, throwing the tinsel on, the homemade ornaments, the pine aroma filtering through the house, decorating the big pine tree outside, wreaths on the fence.........sigh

A wee break from the grind and continuing my reminiscing with all things vintage Christmas. It’s where my heart and mind are these days.

Vintage campers decked out for the holidays. The red one is like the first hardtop camper of my youth. Such fun.

Vintage Christmas trees. From fresh cut with lots of icicles to the tinsel tree with a color wheel I experienced them all. Icicles we’re used year to year and wrapped around a piece of cardboard to store. It took hours to decorate and hours to tear down. But wouldn’t trade those memories for anything.

@CherNohio we had that silver tinsel when I was a kid. Pretty sure they had lead in them

@vozoto yeah. Lead alloy, foil and tin back then. But, we also played with beads of mercury and so far,, <knock on wood> no side effects I’m aware of. Still time if all other elements I’ve been exposed to or have inhaled or have ingested don’t get me first.
