Well, Australia is experiencing the largest telecommunications outage ever. Optus went down early this morning and its now 5 hours later and no fix.
Everything is fucked. mobile, landline, trains, eftpos machines in cafes etc.
Ya, I don't think most people realize that a huge geomagnetic storm can really interfere with national/international communication systems, tho. Until it does happen, most people will stay ignorant, I think!
