Paid tiers on dating apps:

@voltronic i would like to select 2 answers - they do add some decent features but that hooks users because you cant do much without them

@Loffreni
Good point. I think the scam option would be the correct choice then. In my opinion, basic functionality shouldn't count as a feature add. Too late for me to change it though.

@voltronic i get they need to make money somehow, but yeah let's define 'basic functionality', some apps are taking advantage to scam levels

@Loffreni
Ex: You can't see who has liked your profile unless you pay.

@voltronic yeah, this is difficult. you can view spending the money as an investment in finding someone to connect with, or as an alternative to an entertainment budget (ie. spend on dating app instead of going to movies) but by the same token should people be punished because they can't afford it?

yup, was gunna say the same thing. It's 1/2 a scam, 1/2 the fact hey need to make $ somehow. @Loffreni @voltronic

@voltronic I’m sorry - is success defined by the app making money or the number of happy couples or something else?

@mikeharmanos
I guess it depends on your perspective. I was thinking success for the user finding a relationship.
