"Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee." — SA Dale Cooper, FBI

I just gifted myself with a very small, reasonably thin 0.1g-accuracy scale with a timer build in and a tempered glass top to use with my espresso machine.

Fine, James, I'm gonna try it YOUR way.

Happily, I've still got my old Z1presso grinder, so I don't need to futz up the already-perfect grind fineness on my Timemore C3.

@mcfate
I have a scale that sounds very similar to yours.

I picked up a Timemore C3 Max Pro last week, and have been thoroughly enjoying it. The burr set is not really an upgrade over the excellent burrs in my old Anonymous V2, but the ergonomics are much better with the knurled exterior, and I like the repatability of the stepped adjustment.

Speaking of which, their recommendations in the manual for pour over and French press are far too fine. I'm off their scale at a 27 for French press.

@voltronic

All of their recommendations are too fine. Their suggested setting for espresso had the burrs grinding EACH OTHER.

I don't do home espresso, but extrapolating my experience on the coarse end I believe you.
