I need some plumbing #tools recommendations. Since purchasing a pressure washer, I find that I need a better set of Channellock-style groove joint pliers for installing quick-release couplers on hoses. I am looking for models with non-marring curved/angled plastic jaws so my round brass and stainless garden hose fittings don't get scratched. I'd prefer under $30, so not Knipex territory.
Something like this, but maybe a bit better quality:

Maybe I'll try that. I was using rubber jar lid grippers with my channel locks and they keep slipping. Silicone surgical tubing might work also.
@voltronic The silicone tubing may work better. I picture it as being grippier than vinyl.
@voltronic I have a different approach which is to use whatever set I have to hand and wrap a rag around the object. $.02 Good luck, curious to see what you find.

That's what I've been doing with rubber jar grippers, and it's been frustrating me that I can't get a secure grip. The mating fittings are easy because they are hex so I just use a crescent wrench.
@voltronic hex ftw. Hose fittings can get really sticky too, for which I don't have a good answer and a lot of bad ones (e.g. cut them off)
@voltronic
Dip your channel lock's jaws into this stuff: https://www.harborfreight.com/14-1-2-half-oz-plasti-dip-black-2779.html
@jurban
Hmm, that's an idea. I also have a lot of heat shrink tubing.
@voltronic Or get a normal pair, and put some short pieces of vinyl tubing on the jaws.
