@voltronic I'm not entirely positive (and there really isn't any legal way to know) but I believe that the US is already tapped out of the obsolete 155mm that we had in stock (or close to it).
But there are several NATO nations still sitting on stockpiles of old 155mm that they're planning to pay to dispose of rather than donate to Ukraine.
And that's an issue.

The artillery ammo shortage is beyond dire right now. And there are more than a few people who should be tarred and feathered before being driven out of office on a rail because it's an entirely artificial shortage.
Losing Adviika is a net positive because it shortens the line to be defended greatly.
Although there was some question of whether or not the Ukrainians had time to set up a new line behind the city (they did).
